Picture God's peace as the real presence of His love throughout the universe. Peace is not just calmness; it is a vibrant commingling of our humanity. talents, and gifts. It is the relection of the Spirit within each of us. Peace is unity glorying our diversity. We often think of peace as a lack of disagreement. More specifically, it is the harmonious settlement of disagreements. When we respond to the struggles of others offering them hope or a solution to their conflicts, we are working toward far more encompassing peace than we may think. Most of us believe that ''charity begins at home.'' We hope that by doing good among our own that goodness will spread out like concentric rings on the surface of a lake. And, if people pass their blessings along, that is true. Just for a moment, though, think of the lake water in reverse. Say we start from far outside of our home and the circle travel inward to the core. Wouldn't that encourage you to also act more globally?
